Jianying Shi, 史建英

Board Chair

A founding member of ACACS, Jianying and her family are longtime Acton residents. Jianying has led many local Chinese community events and has served as Acton Chinese Language School (ACLS) Principal, Board Member, Dean, and teacher for over 10 years. Deeply committed to community service, Jianying hopes to resolve differences through seeking common ground, building community, and advocating for civic awareness and engagement.

Yuming Liu, 刘玉明

Vice Board Chair

从中国大陆来美三十一年, 一直在MIT从事海洋流体力学的学习、研究和教学。九八年移居Acton至今。曾经担任Acton中文学校的校长、家长会会长、两届董事会会长。参与成立Acton华协的筹划工作，负责Acton华协的公司注册和非营利组织的申请工作。现为Acton华协财务小组成员。

Hongxiang Chen, 陈鸿祥

Board Director

在中国大陆山区当了3年多知青，1977年文革后第一届大学生，毕业后在北京和南京高等院校先后任教4年。1986年来美学习工作多年.
1997年迁入Acton后，多次组织本镇华人联欢活动。2003年创办中文学校，任第一届校长。担任过学校董事会成员和主席。2006年筹划首届艾克顿中国传统音乐之夜，由中文学校和GBCC乐团联合演出。经过两个多月的紧张准备，在艾克顿高中礼堂顺利举行。演出吸引了近九百观众，获得了极大的成功。此后，中国传统音乐舞蹈之夜成为艾克顿每年的保留节目。

Shengjin Jin, 晋圣谨

Board Director

Shengjin and his family have been living in Acton for more than 15 years. He actively volunteered in local school events and community activities such as Walk for Hunger, Cambridge Freedom Run, Emerson Hospital 5K Run. His wife Chunhua is an avid gardener. They have two lovely kids, Melissa and Andrew. Shengjin works for a global biopharmaceutical company, supporting drug manufacturing for patients with rare genetic diseases. Joining the board of Acton Chinese American Civic Society (ACACS), Shengjin would like to promote integration of local Chinese community through engagement and participation in local community services.

Yi Tian, 田毅

Board Director

从中国大陆来美国二十多年，在Newton Chinese Language school 和 Chelmsford Chinese Language School 担任中文老师，教过不同年级的中文。在Newton Chinese Language school 担任了四年的校长助理之后，于2018 年秋季转到Acton Chinese Language School，现在教成人中文。

积极参与义工活动，不定期的去Acton Community food Pantry 帮助不会英语的华裔老人填表和分发食品。在Household Goods 帮助整理捐献的生活用品。每年春节前后去Acton senior center 宣传中华文化等等。

Sarah Peng, 彭卓瑞

在艾克顿这18-19年间，我结识了许多非常可爱的朋友：她他不管是哪个族裔，哪种职业，都做事认真，热心公益。加入华协后，我了解到，华协与许多主流社团合作，开展了许多社区建设活动。华协与 United Health Care, Acton Housing Authority, Gaining Ground Farm in Concord, Acton Boxborough Culture Council, Open Table, Acton Food Pantry, Acton Historic Society, Acton Post Office and Acton Arboretum 等等社团的活动，突破了朝九晚五族常常挣扎的孤僻感，丰富了大家的生活。

我很喜欢华协的宗旨---让我们与主流社会多交流交融。作为以英语语言文化为职业的我，我也深切地感受到语言文化的巨大差异，常常让我们第一代移民与主流社会互相误读。我希望参选华协董事，借此机会能与许多朋友一起，促进中美，东西方的文化交流。让我们走出华人小社区，也欢迎美国大社会进入我们温暖的华裔社区。

Qiang Lai, 赖强

A resident in the Greater Boston area since 1997, settled in Acton since 2012. Has been an active participant in local volunteering and community events. Also a founding member and current board member for the Acton-Boxborough Friends of Speech & Debate.

Yanni Gou, 芶燕妮

Former Board Director

A resident of Acton since 2000, Yanni is an initiator and leader in establishing and developing ACACS. She volunteered at the Acton Chinese Language School (ACLS) for more than eight years as Vice Principal, Principal, Parent Council member, and Board Chair. She e$ectively built strong teams and laid great foundations of school policiesand traditions to the ACLS’s success. She led impactful events of the ACLS’ 5th and 10th Anniversary Celebrations, the 2010 Acton Chinese Cultural Day, and the 2011 Town of Acton 275th Anniversary & Chinese New Year Celebration. Yanni served at the Acton-Boxborough Cultural Council for two years. She is currently a member of the League of WomenVoters-Acton Area. She obtained her M.Sc in Chemistry from the University of Waterloo, and BS in Chemistry and BA in Chinese Language & Literature from Wuhan University. Yanni has over sixteen years of management experience of supervising and directing teams in global pharmaceutical companies.

Dawn Wang, 王晓冬

Former Board Director

Having earned her BSEE from Tsinghua in 1985, Dawn and her husband have called Acton home since 1999 and have raised two wonderful children in the Acton-Boxborough public school system. A member of the Acton-Boxborough Cultural Council, Dawn has been involved in various civic organizations in Acton over the years. She has served as a trustee in her subdivision, volunteered on the Acton-Boxborough Parent Involvement Project (PIP) committee, and supported STEM initiatives like Market Math and Discover STEM. She travels frequently working in technical sales in a semiconductor company, and enjoys the outdoors, cooking, and playing badminton. Dawn strives to serve as a bridge between the town of Acton and the Chinese community.

Li Yuan, 袁力

Former Board Director

1998年搬入Acton后，一直热心参与公益活动和镇里的各项活动。2004－2005年担任艾克顿中文学校副校长、校长；2006－2008担任艾克顿中文学校董事；2007－2009担任艾克顿中文学校校刊主编。这些年来，组织/参与组织艾克顿中文学校5周年、10周年校庆，2009、2012 Acton Music Night, 2010 艾克顿中华文化节，2010 Oktoberfest, 2011 Acton 275th Anniversary & Chinese New Year Celebration。
